Pan-Fried Chicken Schnitzel

A simple, but so tasty and satisfying dinner! Like many, I also used to think that fried chicken was dry. But after learning how to cook breaded chicken schnitzel from breast in a frying pan, my opinion changed dramatically. Try it too!

Basic:

Salt to taste
Ground black pepper to taste
Wheat flour 4 tbsp
Eggs 1 pc
Chicken breasts 200 g
Breadcrumbs 4 tbsp
Vegetable oil (for frying) 30 g

How to make breaded chicken schnitzel from breast in a frying pan? Rinse the chicken fillet in running water and dry with a paper towel. Then cut lengthwise without cutting all the way through. This will result in one large piece of chicken meat.

Place the meat on a board and cover with cling film. Beat the meat with a meat mallet. Thanks to the covered film, the edges of the piece will not tear and splashes of meat will not fly around the kitchen.

Prepare three plates. Break an egg into one of them. Add some salt and pepper. And swirl it around with a whisk. Pour flour into another, and breadcrumbs into the third.

Dredge the chicken meat in flour, making sure it coats the meat on all sides. Then dip both sides into the egg. Dredging in flour helps the egg stick to the meat better.

Then roll the meat in breadcrumbs. Press the meat into the breadcrumbs more firmly to form a dense layer of breading.

Pour some vegetable oil into a frying pan and heat it until hot. Place chicken schnitzel in hot oil. Fry it over high heat on both sides for 1-2 minutes on each. It will turn golden.

Then turn the heat down and fry for another 3-4 minutes on each side. There is no need to cover with a lid, as the thick crispy crust should be preserved. Serve chicken schnitzel as an independent dish, which in itself is very satisfying. Or add any side dish or fresh vegetables. Bon appetit!
