Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to make lingonberry tincture with moonshine at home? Prepare your food. You can use not only fresh, but also frozen lingonberries. Take high-quality moonshine, it’s best if it’s your homemade moonshine. In principle, you can use regular vodka, but in this case the taste will be slightly different. You can take white sugar, or you can use brown sugar — it will give the tincture a light caramel taste.

Step 2

Step 2
Rinse the berries well and dry, then mash a little. If you use frozen berries, you must first defrost them properly. Thatʼs right — this means that first the berries must be transferred to the refrigerator, and only after a couple of hours can you continue defrosting at room temperature.

Step 3

Step 3
Place the mashed berries into the container in which you will infuse the drink. I recommend using a regular glass jar for this, because we will still be filtering the tincture and you can pour it into a beautiful bottle later.

Step 4

Step 4
Gently pour sugar over the berries. It is necessary that the layers do not mix. Adjust the amount of sugar to your taste. If you are preparing the tincture mainly for consumption by men, then you can limit yourself to 1 spoon of sugar. If for women, then its quantity can be increased. And also at this stage, you can add other spices to the tincture for aroma: vanilla, cloves, cinnamon and others. Of course, a woman will like this option with spices more.

Step 5

Step 5
Carefully pour in the moonshine.

Step 6

Step 6
Cover the jar with a lid and put it in a cool, dark place to let the drink brew for 21 days.

Step 7

Step 7
After the specified time, strain the tincture using a fine sieve. Pour the tincture into a bottle or bottle.

Step 8

Step 8
Take homemade lingonberry tincture little by little, no more than 50 ml during lunch or dinner. Bon appetit!
