Easy Homemade Ketchup

Ingredients (12 portions)

Basic:

Onion (half a small onion) 0.5 pc
Salt 0.25 tsp
Water 100 ml
Tomato paste 200 g
Carnation (ground) 0.25 tsp
Brown sugar 1 tbsp
Ready mustard 0.5 tsp
Ground cinnamon 0.25 tsp

Peel the onion and cut off half. If the onion is large, a quarter is enough.

Pour a spoonful of sugar into a cup.

Pour boiling water, stir and cool.

Place the onion in the same cup and process with a blender. We need a completely homogeneous mixture. If your blender leaves lumps of onion, then strain this sugar-onion water.

Place tomato paste in a bowl and add salt, mustard and spices. You can adjust the composition and volume of spices to your taste.

Add water in portions and stir. If you like your ketchup thick, you will need less water.
