Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to make pink salmon in soy sauce in the oven? Prepare the necessary ingredients to prepare juicy pink salmon steaks. Olive oil can be replaced with any vegetable oil.

Step 2

Step 2
First, pink salmon needs to be marinated to enrich the fish with additional juice and special taste. To make the marinade, combine soy sauce, lemon juice and olive oil in a small bowl. Add basil, mix everything well. Take any spices and aromatic herbs to your taste, they will help reveal the taste of the fish more fully. But you shouldn’t add a lot of herbs and spices so as not to interrupt the taste of the main product.

Step 3

Step 3
For marinating, take a container of suitable size and width. It is advisable that the steaks lie in one layer, so they will marinate better. Salt the fish, but keep in mind that the soy sauce included in the marinade will add some saltiness to the dish.

Step 4

Step 4
Pour the marinade over the pink salmon, stir gently so that the marinade is evenly distributed over all pieces of fish.

Step 5

Step 5
Cover the container with steaks with a lid and leave to marinate for 0.5-1 hour. The longer the fish is marinated, the tastier the end result will be. Turn the steaks a couple of times while marinating to ensure they marinate more evenly on all sides. If the marinating time will be significantly increased, then it is better to place the container with the steaks in the refrigerator.

Step 6

Step 6
Cut the pre-peeled onions into thin half rings. If the onion is small, you can cut it into whole rings.

Step 7

Step 7
To bake fish, prepare aluminum foil. You can place all the steaks in foil at once; I wrapped 2 steaks at a time. Place the prepared onions on a sheet of foil of the required size.

Step 8

Step 8
Place marinated pink salmon steaks on top of the onion.

Step 9

Step 9
Cover the top of the pink salmon with a second sheet of foil, wrapping the edges tightly so that during baking the foil does not open and the juices do not leak out. Tightness is very important here. In this case, you do not need to press the foil close to the fish. There should be space between the foil and the steaks to allow the fish to steam.

Step 10

Step 10
Place foil-wrapped steaks on sheet. Bake in an oven preheated to 180C for 25-30 minutes. The fish cooks quickly, so you need to remove it from the oven in time, without allowing the juice to completely evaporate. Baking time will depend on the operating characteristics of the oven.

Step 11

Step 11
Remove the fish from the oven. Carefully, so as not to burn yourself, unfold the edges and remove the top layer of foil. Place the steaks in the oven for an additional 3-5 minutes to brown slightly.

Step 12

Step 12
Serve pink salmon in soy sauce hot with a side dish of potatoes or cereals, or with fresh vegetables. Bon appetit!
