Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to bake a cheese roll with filling in the oven? Very simple! To begin, prepare the products according to the list. Letʼs start cooking with the filling. I used chicken meat, but you can replace it with any other meat: pork, turkey, beef. You can add other ingredients to the filling to your liking, for example, mushrooms (fry with onions).

Step 2

Step 2
Wash the chicken fillet and dry it. Pass the fillet through a meat grinder or grind in a blender. You can use ready-made store-bought minced meat to save time on cooking.

Step 3

Step 3
Cut the onion into small cubes.

Step 4

Step 4
Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat and fry the onion until golden brown. After frying, drain off excess oil.

Step 5

Step 5
In a bowl, combine minced chicken, fried onions, garlic cloves passed through a press, salt and pepper. Mix everything thoroughly. The filling is ready.

Step 6

Step 6
Now prepare the necessary ingredients for the base.

Step 7

Step 7
Grate the cheese on a coarse grater. Any cheese will do, from regular Russian cheese to pizza mozzarella. The main thing is that the cheese is tasty, without milk fat substitutes, and melts well.

Step 8

Step 8
In a bowl, combine grated cheese, eggs, sour cream, turmeric, paprika, salt and pepper. Mix everything thoroughly.

Step 9

Step 9
First line the baking sheet with foil and then with parchment on top. This will keep the pan from coming into contact with fat. Please note that you need to choose high-quality parchment. You can read about choosing parchment at the end of the recipe. Using a spoon, spread the cheese mixture evenly into a rectangular layer about 5 mm thick. Place the baking sheet in an oven preheated to 180°C for 10-15 minutes until the cheese melts. Remove the cheese base from the oven and cool slightly.

Step 10

Step 10
Spread the minced chicken on top in an even layer.

Step 11

Step 11
Roll the cheesecake into a tight roll.

Step 12

Step 12
Wrap the roll in a sheet of foil so that the edges of the foil are on top. This is necessary so that the juice does not leak out. Transfer the roll to a baking sheet and place in the oven for 20-30 minutes. Unwrap the foil 5 minutes before itʼs ready. The exact baking time depends on your oven and ingredients. Focus on your technique and personal preferences.

Step 13

Step 13
Transfer the finished roll to a plate, cut into slices 1 cm thick and serve. Bon appetit!
