Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to make carrot roll from carrots and melted cheese? Prepare all ingredients. Eggs must be chilled. Peel the carrots, wash them, grate them on a fine grater. Fry the chopped carrots over medium heat in a mixture of vegetable and butter under the lid until soft. Wash the greens, dry and finely chop. Separate the yolks from the whites. Add the yolks to the carrots. Add salt and pepper to taste, add chopped herbs and stir.

Step 2

Step 2
Turn the oven on 180 degrees. Beat the chilled whites with a mixer with a pinch of salt until stiff foam. Read about how to properly beat egg whites in a separate article at the link at the end of the recipe.

Step 3

Step 3
Place the whipped egg whites into the carrot mixture and mix gently.

Step 4

Step 4
Pour the carrot mixture onto the parchment lined pan and smooth with a spoon. It is advisable that the layer of carrot mass should not be thinner than 0.5-0.7 cm, otherwise the finished biscuit will burst when rolled. Separate articles and links at the end of the recipe will help you choose parchment and choose a shape. Bake for about 15 minutes in the oven at 180 degrees. The exact time depends on your oven. Read more about this in the article at the link at the end of the recipe.

Step 5

Step 5
While the roll cake is baking, prepare the filling. To make the processed cheese easier to grate, you can put it in the freezer for 15-20 minutes. Grate hard and processed cheeses on a coarse grater. Wash the green onions, dry and finely chop. Add onion, spices and mayonnaise to the cheese, mix everything thoroughly. You may need more or less mayonnaise, but it is advisable that the filling is not dry.

Step 6

Step 6
Remove the finished biscuit from the oven and leave it in the mold for about 5 minutes. Then turn the biscuit over onto the film and very carefully, slowly, remove the paper. Perhaps a little of the biscuit will stick to the paper, but thatʼs okay. You can use a knife to remove the stuck biscuit remnants from the paper and put them on the future roll before laying out the filling.

Step 7

Step 7
Place the filling on the biscuit, carefully distributing it over the entire surface.

Step 8

Step 8
Using the film, taking it by the edge, roll the sponge cake with filling away from you into a roll. Wrap the roll with the same film.

Step 9

Step 9
Place the roll in the refrigerator for some time to soak. Itʼs better to leave it in the refrigerator overnight.

Step 10

Step 10
The carrot roll is ready. Serve the roll by cutting it into portions. Bon appetit!
