Tomato-Sprat Layered Salad

Made from simple products, but original and super tasty! Sprat salad in tomato sauce — for lovers of puff salads with mayonnaise. The spiciness of the fish is perfectly complemented by neutral vegetables, and pickled cucumber adds flavor. Preparing such a salad will not be difficult.

Ingredients (4 portions)

Basic:

Onion 1 pc
Sugar 1 tbsp
Water 50 ml
Eggs (boiled) 2 pc
Potato (boiled) 2 pc
Carrot (boiled) 1 pc
Table vinegar (or any other to taste) 1 tbsp
Mayonnaise 3 tbsp
cucumbers (salty) 2 pc
Sprat in tomato sauce (jar) pc

How to make sprat salad in tomato sauce? Prepare your food. Choose canned goods of good quality; first of all, they should be tasty. Pre-boil vegetables and eggs and cool. For pickling, use table vinegar, 9%, or any other vinegar to taste. You can make your own mayonnaise. You will find recipes for homemade mayonnaise after the last step.

Start cooking by pickling the onions. Chop the peeled onion as finely as possible. Place it in a small bowl and fill it with cold, clean water. Add vinegar and sugar to the water. Stir and leave to stand for 10 minutes.

Peel boiled and cooled vegetables. Grate the potatoes on a coarse grater. Take a flat plate and place a ring on it. Brush the bottom of the plate with a little mayonnaise to seal the first layer. Lay out the grated potatoes, compact the layer with a spoon or a special press. Lubricate it with a spoon of mayonnaise.

Place the onion in a sieve. Place it on the potatoes. Remove the sprat to a separate plate, trying to leave the sauce in the jar. Mash the fish with a fork. Lay it out with the next layer. Compact it.

Grate the carrots on a coarse grater, place it in the next layer, compact it and brush with mayonnaise.

Also grate the pickled cucumbers on a coarse grater, squeeze them lightly and place them on a layer of carrots. Lubricate it with mayonnaise. Peeled eggs, grated on a coarse grater, will be the final layer. There is no need to lubricate it. Place the salad in the refrigerator for a couple of hours to soak.

Before serving, remove the ring from the salad. Decorate it as desired and serve. Bon appetit!
