Ground black pepper (optional) to taste
Eggs 2 pc
Potato 600 g
Pickles 150 g
Mayonnaise 3 tbsp
Greenery (optional) to taste

How to make German potato salad? Prepare all the necessary products. To prevent eggs from bursting during cooking, remove them from the refrigerator in advance and wait until they reach room temperature.

Wash the potatoes and eggs, place them in a saucepan, cover with cold water and place on the stove. After boiling, reduce the heat to medium and cook until the potatoes and eggs are cooked. This will take approximately 15-20 minutes, depending on the size of the potatoes. You can check readiness with a toothpick. Drain the boiling water from the pan, cool the potatoes and eggs.

At this time, cut the cucumbers into not very thick slices. Peel and rinse the onion, chop it into small cubes. You can use any onion for the salad, but I recommend using red salad onions or shallots (if available), these onions are milder and great for salads.

Peel the potatoes and eggs. To ensure that no small particles from the shell remain on the eggs, I rinse the peeled eggs in cold water and dry them.
