Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to make a salad with shrimp and red caviar? Prepare the necessary ingredients. Thaw the shrimp before cooking. It is advisable to do this gradually in the refrigerator. This way, the seafood will retain as much nutrients and taste as possible.

Step 2

Step 2
Rinse shrimp under cold water before cooking. Add bay leaf and allspice to boiling water. Boil the spices over medium heat for 2-3 minutes. Salt the water, add shrimp. My shrimp are medium, they cook for 2-3 minutes from the moment of boiling. Remove the shrimp with a slotted spoon and cool. If using king prawns, increase the cooking time to 7-8 minutes.

Step 3

Step 3
Remove the head, shell and tail from the cooled shrimp.

Step 4

Step 4
Boil the eggs hard. How to hard boil eggs? To prevent eggs from cracking during cooking, place them in cold water and cook over low heat. Boil the eggs for 9 minutes after boiling, then cover with cold water and cool. The shell will be better cleaned from a sharp temperature change. Peel the cooled eggs, separate the whites from the yolks.

Step 5

Step 5
Pre-cook the potatoes in their skins until tender. Check readiness with a knife; it should easily pierce the vegetable. Cool the boiled potatoes, peel them and grate them on a coarse grater.

Step 6

Step 6
Grate the egg whites on a coarse grater.

Step 7

Step 7
The salad can be formed in a serving ring or laid out in layers in a salad bowl of a suitable size. I have a ring with a diameter of 14 cm. Place half of the shrimp in the first layer. A few shrimp can be left to decorate the salad (optional). If the shrimp are large, cut them smaller.

Step 8

Step 8
Lubricate the layer of shrimp with mayonnaise.

Step 9

Step 9
Place the next layer of grated boiled potatoes and smooth with a spoon.

Step 10

Step 10
Apply mayonnaise to the potato layer.

Step 11

Step 11
Then spread the grated egg whites in an even layer and smooth out. Lubricate with mayonnaise.

Step 12

Step 12
Add remaining shrimp. And again mayonnaise.

Step 13

Step 13
Finely grate the egg yolks on top and distribute them evenly over the entire surface of the salad. Cover the salad with cling film and refrigerate for 1 hour to soak.

Step 14

Step 14
Before serving, carefully place red caviar on a layer of yolks. Remove the serving ring.

Step 15

Step 15
You can decorate the salad with shrimp and herbs. Bon appetit!
