Cheesy Lavash Rolls

Made from the simplest ingredients, bright and tasty for dinner! A lavash roll with melted cheese can be served for breakfast or dinner, taken on a picnic, or on the road. You can add different ingredients to the filling: vegetables, meat and seafood. And such an appetizer is appropriate on the holiday table.

Basic:

Garlic 2 clove
Eggs 3 pc
Mayonnaise 3 tbsp
bell pepper 0.5 pc
cucumbers 1 pc
Processed cheese 300 g
Basil (or baby spinach) 50 g
Lavash thin (approximately) 200 g

How to make a lavash roll with melted cheese? First, prepare the necessary ingredients. For this recipe, either regular Armenian lavash or wheat roll will work, depending on what is available in the store. If your pita bread or roll is long (mine is 1 m long), then cut it in half into two parts. If the pita bread is small, take 2 pieces.

Wash the cucumber, dry it and cut into thin slices. It is not necessary to cut off the skin of a cucumber, if it is not rough, damaged or bitter. However, to prevent the cucumber from tearing the pita bread, I still cut off the skin from it.

Boil the eggs hard, cool, peel and grate on a coarse grater.

Remove the basil leaves from the sprigs and wash. I didnʼt have fresh basil on hand, so I replaced it with baby baby spinach.

Peel the bell pepper from seeds and stems, and cut the pulp into small cubes.

Pass the garlic through a press or grate it on a fine grater.

In a bowl, combine cream cheese, mayonnaise and garlic and stir.

Grease the first sheet of lavash with half the cheese and mayonnaise mixture.

Sprinkle the pita bread with half the grated eggs and arrange the cucumber slices.

Top with a second sheet of pita bread and sprinkle with the remaining grated eggs and bell pepper. Place basil or spinach leaves on top.

Roll the pita bread into a tight roll and wrap it in cling film.

Place the roll in the refrigerator for 1 hour to soak.
