Vinegar (25%) 3 tbsp

How to make Korean fish hye with carrots and onions at home? Prepare your ingredients. Clean the fish from scales, remove the entrails and bones, and rinse well. You can use absolutely any fish, the main thing is that it is fresh. The recipe used salmon. Pat the fillets dry with paper towels. If you wish, you can leave the fish with the skin on or remove it. From experience, pieces with skin turn out tastier and juicier, but here again it’s a matter of taste.

Cut the fish into small pieces approximately 1 x 5 cm.

Pour the vinegar over the fish and stir gently and thoroughly. The pieces will begin to turn white, indicating that the marinating process has begun. Place the fish in a food container, cover with a lid and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.

Meanwhile, prepare the remaining ingredients. Peel the carrots, onions and garlic and rinse under running water. Chop the Korean carrots on a Korean grater, so the salad will look very beautiful and appetizing. If a Korean grater is not available, then you can get by with a regular one. In this case, it is worth using large cuts.

Cut the onions in half and then chop into thin half rings. Leave about 20-30 grams of onion for frying (cut it as finely as possible).

Chop the garlic finely. Mix spices (3 types of peppers) in a small container. You can also take any other spices to taste.

Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan. Send there half the chopped garlic and 20-30 grams of finely chopped onion. Stir, leave for literally 3-5 seconds, during which time the onions and garlic will become transparent, and the boiling oil will be saturated with aromas. Place carrots and onions in half rings into a large container. Salt, add sugar and sprinkle with the prepared mixture of peppers. Next, pour in hot vegetable oil with garlic and onions. Add the rest of the chopped fresh garlic.
