Festive Shrimp & Crab Stick Salad

And without mayonnaise, it only has 4 ingredients! Youʼll have it ready in 20 minutes tops, but it needs to sit in the refrigerator to taste even better.

Basic:

Eggs 3 pc
Hard cheese 100 g
Mayonnaise 3 tbsp
Crab sticks 200 g
Shrimps 200 g

How to make a salad from shrimp and crab sticks? First, prepare the necessary ingredients. Take large, selected eggs; if the eggs are small, take 4 pieces.

Boil the shrimp in salted water, cool and peel. You can use any shrimp — large or small. The net weight of peeled shrimp should be at least 200 g, so if you have shrimp with a head and shell, take them with a reserve. Save a few whole shrimp to garnish the salad.

Cut the remaining shrimp into small pieces.

Cut the crab sticks into small cubes or grate them on a coarse grater.

Hard boil the eggs, cool and peel. Separate the whites from the yolks and grate separately into different dishes: the whites on a medium grater, the yolks on a fine grater. Set aside a little grated yolk to decorate the top of the salad.

Grate the cheese on a coarse or medium grater.

To make the salad not only tasty, but also very beautiful, form it in layers in a culinary ring with a diameter of 16-18 cm. Place the ring on a dish, lay out most of the crab sticks as the first layer. Pour mayonnaise on top. For convenience, I transferred the mayonnaise into a pastry bag and cut off the tip.

Distribute the shrimp evenly in the next layer and also cover with mayonnaise.

Spread grated cheese over the shrimp and pour mayonnaise over it.

The next layer is grated whites and mayonnaise.

The penultimate layer is grated yolks with mayonnaise.

Sprinkle the top of the salad with the remaining crab sticks. The layer should not be too thick — it is needed more for beauty than for taste. The red and white top of the salad looks very beautiful on the table. Place the salad in the refrigerator for 1 hour to soak.

Remove the cooking ring before serving. Garnish the salad with the remaining whole shrimp, grated yolk and, if desired, black caviar or its imitation. Or as your imagination suggests. Bon appetit!
