Baked Minced Meat Lavash Roll

Delicate roll with filling — a dish for a family dinner. To prepare this dish you will need a minimum of ingredients, and at the end you will get a complete second course or snack. If your pita bread is a little dry, you can pre-sprinkle it with water and let it sit for a while until it becomes moist. But it’s better, of course, to use fresh pita bread. It’s also worth mentioning about serving: if the finished pita bread with minced meat has cooled down, you can always heat it up in any way convenient for you. Help yourself!

Ingredients (8 portions)

Basic:

Chicken mince 300 g
Onion 4 pc
Salt to taste
Eggs 2 pc
Hard cheese 30 g
Mayonnaise 1 tbsp
Lavash thin 100 g
Ground pepper mixture to taste

Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
For the recipe, I used ready-made minced chicken. Place the minced meat in a bowl, add chopped onion, egg, salt to taste and a mixture of peppers (or other seasonings as desired).

Step 2

Step 2
Mix everything well.

Step 3

Step 3
Now about the pita bread. I used store-bought lavash made of three sheets (each weighing 100 grams), I needed one sheet. If you take a whole pita bread, then cut a rectangle measuring 30 by 40 cm with scissors — mine was exactly this size, I measured it with a ruler especially for the recipe. Apply the filling in an even layer, not reaching the edges by about 2-3 cm. Leave for 5 minutes so that the pita bread is saturated with meat juice.

Step 4

Step 4
First we bend the edges of the long side (which is 40 cm), and then we roll the entire pita bread into a roll, trying to roll it as tightly as possible. It turns out like this “sausage”.

Step 5

Step 5
Place the roll on a baking dish or baking sheet; you can put parchment paper or foil under it; you don’t need to grease them with anything. Lubricate the roll with a mixture of egg and mayonnaise, which we previously beat with a whisk. Place the roll in the oven, preheated to 160 degrees for 30 minutes.

Step 6

Step 6
After 30 minutes, take the roll out of the oven and place thinly sliced pieces of cheese on it — it took me 7 slices. You can sprinkle with coarsely grated cheese, but I liked it better this way, as it resulted in portioned pieces. We put the roll back to bake for another 10 minutes, you can lower the temperature a little.

Step 7

Step 7
Remove the roll from the oven, cut into portions and serve while still hot. Additionally, you can decorate the roll with fresh herbs — I used chopped green onions.
