How to make a classic Prague salad with bell peppers and beef? Prepare your food. Young beef or veal are better suited for making salad. The meat of a young animal will be softer and cook faster. Tenderloin or pulp will do. To give the salad more flavor, you can take red and yellow bell peppers.

I used veal for the salad. Wash the meat and be sure to dry it with a paper towel, otherwise excess moisture will prevent it from frying — it will stew. Cut the meat into small cubes.

Peel, wash and finely chop the onions into small cubes. To avoid irritating the mucous membranes of your eyes when cutting onions, rinse the onion and knife with cold water. The cutting board will not absorb the unpleasant onion smell if you rub it with a slice of lemon before cutting.

Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan and add meat. Fry it over high heat until golden brown, turning the pieces over so they cook evenly on all sides. This way of frying will preserve all the juices inside the meat.

Add chopped onions to the meat and stir.

Continue cooking the meat over medium heat until cooked through, 20 to 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. The meat should be well cooked. 5-10 minutes before it’s ready, salt it, add ground black pepper and stir. You can supplement the meat with other spices and herbs (nutmeg, basil). Choose according to your taste or availability.

Wash the bell pepper, remove the stem and seeds. Cut into thin strips.

Wash the apple, remove the skin and seeds, cut it like vegetables. Place the apple in a convenient container and pour lemon juice over it to prevent it from darkening. Stir. It is advisable to take a sweet and sour apple like “Simirenko”. Its taste will give the salad a unique touch.
