Tomato and Black Bread Salad

A simple salad made from readily available ingredients — tasty and easy. For myself, I usually prepare a salad consisting of tomatoes, black bread, dill and sour cream. But my husband prefers this option — with onions and olive oil.

Ingredients (4 portions)

Basic:

Onion (red) 1 pc
Tomatoes 300 g
Salt to taste
Ground black pepper to taste
Vegetable oil 2 tbsp
Dill (2 branches) 10 g
Bread (rye) 150 g

How to make a salad with black bread and tomatoes? To prepare a salad with tomatoes and black bread, we will need: ripe juicy tomatoes, a red onion, several pieces of black bread (Borodinsky type), dill, vegetable oil, ground black pepper and salt.

Wash the tomatoes, dry and cut into slices. Peel the onion and cut into half rings.

If desired, the bread can be lightly dried in a dry frying pan, in a toaster or in the oven.

Cut the bread into cubes.

Wash the dill, dry and finely chop.

Prepare vegetable oil. You can use olive oil, like I did, or take sunflower oil, but it should preferably be unrefined. This will make the salad several times more aromatic and tastier.

Combine tomatoes, bread, onions and dill in a salad bowl. Salt, pepper and season with vegetable oil. Mix carefully.
