Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to make a salad from sauerkraut, onions and vegetable oil? Prepare all the products listed on the list. Which oil is better to use? Olive, vegetable, flaxseed or unrefined oil is perfect for this recipe.

Step 2

Step 2
Peel the onion, rinse and dry with napkins. Red onions, white onions, shallots or regular onions are ideal for the salad. These varieties have a milder taste and are ideal for salads. Cut the onion into thin half rings, quarter rings, feathers or small cubes, as you prefer.

Step 3

Step 3
If your sauerkraut is too sour, rinse it in cold water and squeeze it out (I usually don’t do this). Place the cabbage and finely chopped onion in a deep bowl.

Step 4

Step 4
Rinse the greens, dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture and chop finely. What greens are best to take? Dill, green onions or parsley are ideal for salad. You can also use several types of greens at the same time.

Step 5

Step 5
Pour oil on top and mix everything thoroughly. Let the salad sit at room temperature for 10-15 minutes, stir again and sprinkle with chopped herbs.
