Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to bake a loaf with cheese and garlic in the oven? Prepare all the necessary ingredients. It is better to use a slightly dried loaf; when sliced, it will hold its shape better and will not crumble or break. Choose high-quality cheese, without milk fat substitutes. I already have grated cheese. Remove the butter from the refrigerator in advance so that it melts a little. Choose greens to taste. I used cilantro. Turn on the oven at 200 degrees.

Step 2

Step 2
Make cuts on the loaf without reaching the bottom. They can be made in a mesh, longitudinally obliquely, or even lengthwise — as you like. I like the mesh better — it turns out more beautiful, but with transverse cuts the loaf is easier to cut into portions.

Step 3

Step 3
Peel the garlic and pass through a press.

Step 4

Step 4
Wash the greens, dry and finely chop. Set aside some greenery for decoration.

Step 5

Step 5
Grate the cheese, add softened butter, garlic, herbs and mix everything.

Step 6

Step 6
Place the resulting mass into the slits of the loaf.

Step 7

Step 7
Wrap the loaf in foil and place in an oven preheated to 200 degrees for 20 minutes.

Step 8

Step 8
After 20 minutes, open the foil slightly and leave the loaf in the oven for another 5-7 minutes so that it browns on top. You want the bread to brown on top.

Step 9

Step 9
Sprinkle the finished loaf with the reserved chopped herbs and serve hot. Bon appetit!
