Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to make crackers in the microwave from bread at home? Prepare your food. Such crackers can be made from any bread: black, white, and gray. It is advisable that the bread is not very fresh. I usually use bread that is already nearing its expiration date for croutons. You can take any vegetable oil: from sunflower to olive, but it must be refined so that it does not burn during heat treatment.

Step 2

Step 2
Cut the bread in any convenient way. You can cut it smaller or larger, depending on your taste!

Step 3

Step 3
Prepare dishes that can be used in the microwave. Let me remind you that glass, porcelain, wood and even paper dishes are suitable for the microwave. And the following are prohibited for use in a microwave oven: metal utensils and other metal objects, as well as utensils with shiny ornaments and designs. Otherwise, the dishes will spark while cooking. Place the sliced bread on a plate or directly on the microwaveʼs rotating glass rack.

Step 4

Step 4
Cook on medium power (about 600-800) for about 15 minutes. Your microwave may cook croutons faster or slower. Therefore, follow the process! Every 3-5 minutes (in other microwaves it may be more often) I opened the microwave and mixed the pieces. Salt the prepared crackers. If you wish, you can pepper them, or sprinkle with ground paprika or Provençal herbs. Or maybe you have some other favorite seasonings!

Step 5

Step 5
I suggest making crackers with garlic flavor. Heat vegetable oil slightly in a frying pan. Peel the garlic and add to the pan. I put the garlic through a press, but you can grate it on a fine grater or simply chop it with a knife.

Step 6

Step 6
Fry the garlic a little. Literally 1-2 minutes! Carefully! Garlic burns very quickly, and it only needs to impart its aroma to the oil.

Step 7

Step 7
Pour hot oil over the finished croutons along with the garlic and stir immediately.

Step 8

Step 8
Delicious, crispy and aromatic crackers are ready! Bon appetit!
