Walnuts (Glass with a volume of 200 ml) 1 cup
Beet 1 pc
Greenery (Parsley, cilantro, dill) 20 g
Red wine vinegar 1 tbsp

Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to make pkhali from beets in Georgian style with nuts? Prepare the necessary ingredients. Take high-quality nuts, without bitterness; the taste of the finished dish will depend on the taste of the nuts. Choose juicy, bright, sweet beets — this is exactly what I have. Rinse the nuts, dry them on paper towels, you can fry them a little in a frying pan, it will be more aromatic and tastier. Place the nuts in a blender bowl, you can use a meat grinder, but I prefer a blender.

Step 2

Step 2
Wash the greens, dry them, cut them and add them to the nuts, chop them and transfer the resulting mass to a bowl.

Step 3

Step 3
Bring the beets to readiness, I baked them in the oven for two hours at 180 degrees, but my beets are large, medium ones may take about an hour and a half. Cool the beets, peel them and cut them into pieces to make it easier to grind them in a blender.

Step 4

Step 4
Peel the garlic, rinse it, add it to the blender bowl with the beets and chop everything.

Step 5

Step 5
Place chopped beets and garlic in a bowl with nuts and herbs, add wine vinegar, salt and spices, mix, form balls from the resulting mass, flatten them a little on top, decorate with nuts and herbs, or pomegranate seeds, to your taste. Bon appetit!
