Step 1

Step 1
How to quickly pickle mackerel without brine at home? Itʼs very simple. To begin, prepare the necessary ingredients according to the list. You can use fresh or frozen mackerel. If you use frozen, before salting it must be properly defrosted on the bottom shelf of the refrigerator. You can add more bay leaf if you want a more flavorful fish. I will show you how to salt whole fish and cut into pieces.

Step 2

Step 2
Gut the fish, remove the fins and gills. Rinse thoroughly and dry with paper towels. Leave one fish whole.

Step 3

Step 3
Cut the second into pieces about 3-4 cm thick. Decide for yourself whether to leave the head. I salted the whole fish.

Step 4

Step 4
In a bowl, mix coriander, ground black pepper, sugar and salt.

Step 5

Step 5
Place the whole mackerel on a sheet of parchment. Rub inside and outside with some of the spice mixture. Place a bay leaf in the belly.

Step 6

Step 6
