This sauce is a great addition to any dish and can be prepared in just a few minutes.

Basic:

Olive oil 1 tbsp
Salt to taste
Ground black pepper to taste
Lemon juice 2 tbsp
Eggs 1 pc
Sour cream (fat content 20-25%) 200 g
Pickles 100 g
Green cilantro 30 g
Ready mustard 1 tbsp

How to make tartar sauce with sour cream and cucumbers at home? Very simple! Start by preparing the required ingredients according to the list. If you wish, you can add a little finely grated cheese to the sauce. You can replace sour cream with mayonnaise or natural yogurt without additives. It’s also delicious if you use equal amounts of sour cream and mayonnaise. But in this case, salt must be added carefully.

Hard-boil the egg, peel and grate on a fine grater. For information on how to properly boil eggs, see the link at the end of the recipe.

Shake the pickled cucumbers off the brine and cut into small cubes. If the cucumbers are too watery, blot them with napkins. You can replace pickled cucumbers with salted or fresh ones.

Wash the cilantro, dry and finely chop. If you wish, you can replace or supplement with other herbs, for example, dill, parsley, green onions, or use a mixture of different herbs.

In a bowl, combine sour cream, egg, pickled cucumbers, cilantro, mustard, olive oil, lemon juice, salt and pepper. You can use any mustard. I used Dijon, but it will be delicious with grainy one. If you want a spicier sauce, add 1-2 cloves of garlic passed through a press.

Mix everything thoroughly. Tartar sauce is ready. You can serve it with seafood, cutlets or as a salad dressing.
