Herring and Apple Forshmak

Airy mincemeat made from tender herring, very tasty. Airy mincemeat made from tender home-salted herring is a dish originally from Jewish cuisine. Forshmak is made from chopped herring fillet. To make it tasty, choose fatty herring. If you buy ready-made herring, try it before cooking. It should be lightly salted, this is important.
