Step 1

Step 1
How to make squid rings for beer at home? To begin, prepare the necessary ingredients according to the list. You can take squid whole carcasses or already cut frozen rings.

Step 2

Step 2
If the squids are whole, clean them of skin, internal films, remove the chitinous plate and entrails. Rinse thoroughly. Cut the squid carcasses into rings. If the squids are frozen, defrost them first, but not completely — frozen squids are easier to clean. For proper defrosting, read the separate article at the end of the recipe. If you have frozen rings, simply defrost them and dry them.

Step 3

Step 3
Combine the egg with salt and pepper and beat with a fork until smooth.

Step 4

Step 4
First dip the squid rings in the beaten egg.

Step 5

Step 5
Then bread all sides in flour. Shake off excess flour. If you wish, you can bread the squid in breadcrumbs.

Step 6

Step 6
Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Place the squid and fry on both sides until golden brown. But no longer than 2-3 minutes, otherwise the squid will become tough and tasteless. During frying, the squids straighten out and take the shape of rings. Read about how to choose the ideal frying pan, as well as how to choose the right oil, in separate articles, links at the end of the recipe.

Step 7

Step 7
Place the finished squids on paper napkins to absorb excess fat.

Step 8

Step 8
Serve the squid rings immediately with any sauces. Bon appetit!
