Herring-Filled Emerald Appetizer Bites

Potato 2 pc
Mayonnaise 2 tbsp

Prepare the ingredients. To prepare an appetizer in the form of emerald balls with herring we will need: herring fillet; boiled potatoes, hard-boiled eggs; mayonnaise, dill, ground black pepper and salt. Pomegranate seeds for decoration.

Pat the herring fillets with paper towels to remove any remaining oil. If using a whole herring, separate the fillet from the bones.

Cut the fillet into small cubes.

Boil potatoes in their skins until tender. Then cool and peel. Grate the potatoes on a coarse grater.

Boil the eggs hard, cool and peel. Also grate on a coarse grater.

Combine herring, grated potatoes and eggs in a salad bowl. Salt, pepper and season with mayonnaise.

Mix everything well. Place the resulting mixture in the refrigerator for 20 minutes.

Wash the dill, dry and chop very finely.

Form balls the size of a walnut from the cooled herring-vegetable mixture. If the mass falls apart, then it is better to form balls with wet hands.
