Sugar-Free Raisin Compote

Delicious, appetizing, healthy, for the whole family! Raisin compote is one of the simplest recipes for making a drink from dried fruits. Dried grapes contain natural sugar, so compote can be cooked without sugar at all or with a minimal amount of it.

Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to cook raisin compote? Prepare your food. Any variety of raisins is suitable for this compote — dark, light, with or without pits. Rinse it in running water and then pour boiling water over it. It is more convenient to do this in a sieve or colander. Then place the raisins in a small saucepan in which the compote will be cooked.

Step 2

Step 2
Sprinkle raisins with sugar. The amount of sugar is arbitrary, so use your taste as a guide. You can not use it at all, but then add honey to the finished compote.

Step 3

Step 3
Pour water into a saucepan and place on fire.

Step 4

Step 4
Bring the compote to a boil and simmer over medium heat for 15 minutes. Then remove from heat, cover the pan with a lid and let the compote brew for an hour.

Step 5

Step 5
Strain the infused compote through a sieve, separating the raisins, and pour into a decanter. You can serve it immediately, warm, or you can cool it before serving.

Step 6

Step 6
Pour the finished compote into glasses and help yourself. Bon appetit!
