Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to stew turkey in sour cream sauce in a frying pan? Prepare the ingredients. What part of the turkey carcass is best to use? Choose for yourself: it can be only fillet or drumsticks, thighs, wings. I have this fillet. If necessary, defrost the bird in advance.

Step 2

Step 2
Clean the turkey meat, rinse, and dry with paper towels. Cut the turkey fillet into small cubes.

Step 3

Step 3
Peel the onions. Cut the onion into half rings or small cubes. If you wish, in addition to onions, you can use carrots — they will give the meat a pleasant sweetness.

Step 4

Step 4
Prepare sour cream sauce. Place a few tablespoons of thick and rich sour cream in a bowl. Add salt and ground black pepper to sour cream. If you wish, you can add any other seasonings or spices, chopped fresh herbs. Pour half a glass of water into the sour cream, stir until a homogeneous mixture is obtained.

Step 5

Step 5
Pour vegetable oil into a frying pan and heat it on the stove. Place chopped onions in heated vegetable oil. Fry it, stirring and not letting it brown too much.

Step 6

Step 6
Add chopped turkey meat to the onions. Fry it with the onion over low heat, stirring with a wooden spatula until it browns slightly on all sides. Try not to dry out the meat or fry it to a crisp.

Step 7

Step 7
Pour the prepared sour cream sauce into the frying pan with the meat. Stir, cover the pan with a lid and simmer the dish over medium heat for about 15-25 minutes. Then remove the lid from the frying pan, stir its contents and simmer the dish for about 5 minutes without a lid so that the sauce thickens. Serve the dish with or without a side dish. Bon appetit!
