Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
Prepare all the necessary products. Of course, it is better to take chilled fish; frozen fish loses a large number of beneficial properties. It can be a fish fillet or a fish steak, but preferably with a minimum content of bones. The oil can be any vegetable oil: from olive to cottonseed. We will need lemon juice from lemon, so you can also use ready-made lemon juice. If you squeeze it from a lemon, scald it first.

Step 2

Step 2
Wash the fish and dry it.

Step 3

Step 3
Pour in lemon juice — it will remove the pronounced fishy smell and add a subtle citrus note to the finished dish.

Step 4

Step 4
Mix soy sauce with oil, add chopped garlic. You can chop it with a grater, a knife, or pass the garlic through a press. I donʼt add salt, because... Soy sauce already contains enough salt.

Step 5

Step 5
Pour the resulting marinade over the fish and leave to marinate a little. The marinating time can be from 30 minutes to 12 hours.

Step 6

Step 6
Heat the coals in the grill if you have them ready. Or set fire to the wood and wait for it to burn out and turn into coals. It is best to use birch wood for grilling.

Step 7

Step 7
Place a grate on the grill. Place the fish and fry, turning every 5 minutes. The fish fries quite quickly and the total cooking time is 15-20 minutes. Please note that salmon is a fairly oily fish, and dripping fat may cause the coals to ignite. Keep an eye on this!

Step 8

Step 8
Remove the fish from the grill and serve immediately hot with fresh vegetables and herbs. Bon appetit!
