Garlic Baked Turkey Drumsticks

The recipe will yield a juicy turkey with a crispy crust. Turkey drumsticks vary in weight. I had two medium legs weighing about 500g each. There are larger legs, weighing 1 kg or more. If you use a large leg, then you need to bake it for about 1.5 hours in foil and 30 minutes without foil.

Ingredients (4 portions)

Basic:

Garlic 4 clove
Salt to taste
Ground black pepper to taste
Vegetable oil 2 tbsp
Dry spices (for meat) 1 tsp
Turkey drumstick (2 pcs.) 1 kg

Prepare the ingredients. To cook turkey drumsticks in foil in the oven, we will need: medium-sized turkey legs or one large one, garlic, a mixture of spices for meat (possibly more specific for turkey), vegetable oil, ground black pepper and salt.

Wash turkey drumsticks and pat dry with paper towels.

Peel the garlic and cut lengthwise into 2-3 parts. My cloves were already small, so I didn’t cut them. Make deep cuts in each drumstick with a knife. Stuff the drumsticks with garlic.

Rub the drumsticks with the spice mixture and salt. My spices already included ground pepper, so I didn’t use it additionally. Leave to marinate for 15-20 minutes.

Brush the turkey with vegetable oil.

Wrap each drumstick in foil and place on a baking sheet. Bake the drumsticks in an oven preheated to 200°C for about 50 minutes.

Then unfold the foil and bake the meat for another 30 minutes. Bon appetit!
