Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to bake juicy turkey fillet in the oven in foil? Prepare your food. Any fillet will do, I used breast. It is better to choose chilled meat — it will turn out juicier. If your fillet is frozen, then defrost it first by transferring it from the freezer to the bottom shelf of the refrigerator. Adjust the set of spices and the amount of lemon juice to your taste.

Step 2

Step 2
Wash the fillets and dry well with paper towels. Cut it into large portions, 200-250 grams in weight. It’s better not to do less — the meat will turn out dry. For the same reason, make the pieces thick. I got two large pieces and two smaller ones.

Step 3

Step 3
Pour vegetable oil and lemon juice into a bowl. Add salt and spices to taste. I have curry, paprika and ground black pepper. If you are using a ready-made spice mixture, check to see if it contains salt so as not to oversalt the dish. Stir the marinade.

Step 4

Step 4
Dip pieces of meat into it and coat them thoroughly on all sides. Leave the meat to marinate for 20-30 minutes. If you have time, you can increase the marinating time to 2-3 hours, you can even leave it in the refrigerator overnight. Half an hour before cooking, turn on the oven to 180 degrees.

Step 5

Step 5
Take thick foil, tear off a large piece, fold it in half. Place a portion of fillet in the center and place a small piece of butter on it (it will add even more juiciness to the meat). Wrap the ends of the foil like an envelope, bending the edges several times so that the foil holds better. Read more about aluminum foil in a separate article at the link at the end of the recipe.

Step 6

Step 6
Place the resulting envelopes in a suitable baking dish.

Step 7

Step 7
Place the dish with the meat in an oven preheated to 180°C. How long does it take to bake turkey fillet in the oven? Start by roasting the turkey for 40 minutes. Then remove the pan, but do not turn off the heat yet. Unfold the envelopes, exposing the meat at the top.

Step 8

Step 8
Place the pan in the oven for another 10 minutes. Then remove and serve immediately. The exact cooking time depends on your oven. You can learn about the operating features of ovens by reading a separate article, link at the end of the recipe.

Step 9

Step 9
You can leave the meat in the foil, forming it into boats, or you can take it out and cut it. Bon appetit!
