Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to make French pork with mushrooms in the oven? Prepare the necessary ingredients. You can use any part of pork, but meat with small layers of fat, such as ham or neck, is better. This meat will be more juicy and soft. If wild mushrooms are used, they must first be boiled.

Step 2

Step 2
Wash the meat and dry it well. Cut the meat into pieces about 2 cm thick. Lightly beat each piece on both sides. You can cover the meat with cling film to prevent possible splashing of meat juice.

Step 3

Step 3
Salt each piece of meat, sprinkle with aromatic herbs or any spices to taste. You can use ready-made pork seasoning. Cover the meat and leave to soak in the spices a little.

Step 4

Step 4
Wash the pre-peeled onions and cut into half rings.

Step 5

Step 5
Wash the champignons and dry thoroughly. Chop the mushrooms as desired.

Step 6

Step 6
Pour some vegetable oil into the frying pan. Fry the onions over moderate heat until light golden brown. There is no need to fry the onions too much, as the dish will still cook in the oven.

Step 7

Step 7
Also fry the mushrooms in vegetable oil, stirring occasionally, until slightly browned. Salt the mushrooms a little.

Step 8

Step 8
Place the meat pieces in a baking dish.

Step 9

Step 9
Spread the fried onions on top.

Step 10

Step 10
Then place the champignons evenly.

Step 11

Step 11
Wash the tomatoes and dry them. Cut the tomatoes into slices or half circles. Place the vegetable on the layer of mushrooms.

Step 12

Step 12
Top the tomatoes with sour cream.

Step 13

Step 13
Place the dish with the meat in an oven preheated to 190C for 1 hour to 1 hour 20 minutes. Cooking time will depend on the quality of the meat and the operating characteristics of the oven. If the top begins to brown too much prematurely, cover the top of the pan with foil.

Step 14

Step 14
Grate the cheese on a coarse grater.

Step 15

Step 15
Remove the pan from the oven and sprinkle the top evenly with grated cheese. You can decorate with slices of fried champignons.

Step 16

Step 16
Bake the meat in the oven for another 7-10 minutes until the cheese crust appears golden brown.

Step 17

Step 17
Serve the pork and mushrooms hot with any side dish or fresh vegetables. Bon appetit!
