Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to bake a turkey drumstick in the oven? Prepare the products according to the list. I take fresh turkey drumsticks, the size and weight of the turkey can vary, so you can take one drumstick with the specified weight, or you can take two very small ones. I take Russian mustard, dry spices for poultry, approximately one teaspoon of salt, but in any case, first of all, rely on your taste. You can also add ground black pepper to taste.

Step 2

Step 2
The turkey drumstick should be fresh, natural in color and free of any unpleasant odor. If frozen drumstick is used for cooking, then it should be defrosted naturally; if there is no time for this, then you can use the microwave. This recipe will also work if you use a boneless turkey drumstick. Rinse the drumstick under running cold water, dry it with a paper or regular towel and place it in a deep tray or mold.

Step 3

Step 3
Thoroughly coat the turkey drumstick on all sides with salt and mustard so that it is completely covered. If the turkey is larger than the specified weight, then you can use more mustard. Thanks to mustard, turkey meat is very juicy. Cover the drumstick with film and put it in a cool place to marinate for 2 hours. The larger the turkey, the longer it needs to marinate.

Step 4

Step 4
After two hours, rub the turkey drumstick with dry spices so that they completely cover the entire drumstick. Here you can take any spices to suit your taste. Wrap the drumstick in foil and place in a baking dish. Bake the turkey drumstick in the oven in foil at 200 degrees for about 2 hours. When pierced with a sharp knife, clear juice comes out of the finished drumstick. The times are approximate; for more information on how ovens work, see the article at the end of this recipe.

Step 5

Step 5
Remove the finished drumstick from the oven, carefully unwrap it and place it on a large platter. Using a sharp knife, trim thin pieces from the edges of the drumstick and serve. Pasta, boiled rice and buckwheat, and vegetables are suitable as a side dish for this meat. Bon appetit!
