Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to make skewers of Brussels sprouts with bacon in a frying pan? Prepare all the necessary ingredients. I have frozen Brussels sprouts. I previously defrosted it and threw it into a colander. There is no need for excess moisture in this dish. You will need raw smoked bacon (it is elastic and will not break when forming kebabs). Choose cherry tomatoes that are sweet and small in size. Be sure to wash them under running water and drain in a colander.

Step 2

Step 2
Cut the Brussels sprouts in half. Drizzle with extra virgin olive oil.

Step 3

Step 3
Add soy sauce to the cabbage, sprinkle with dried garlic and pepper to taste. Why do I recommend using dried garlic for frying? Itʼs simple: it wonʼt burn while frying in a pan. If necessary, salt the cabbage. But keep in mind that both soy sauce and bacon will add their salt to the finished dish. Mix the cabbage with the marinade, cover the bowl and leave at room temperature for 20-30 minutes.

Step 4

Step 4
Place cabbage and tomatoes alternately on a skewer, wrapping them in bacon, as shown in the photo. It is better to remove stacks of cherry tomatoes if they exist. This will make it more convenient to taste the dish. I left a few pieces for beauty.

Step 5

Step 5
Heat a frying pan over high heat. Then pour in a drop of extra virgin olive oil and warm it up a little. If you have a frying pan with a high-quality non-stick coating, then you don’t need to add oil at all. Fry the kebabs on one side for 2-3 minutes.

Step 6

Step 6
Then turn over and fry the kebabs on the other side for another 2-3 minutes. In this dish, the cabbage remains slightly crunchy, as it should be. If you want fully cooked cabbage, blanch it in boiling water for about 5 minutes until it is soft before frying.

Step 7

Step 7
Serve the kebabs hot. Serving is possible both on skewers and without them. But I prefer the first option.
