Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to make meatballs in sour cream sauce in a frying pan? Prepare everything you need for this. You can use any minced meat to suit your taste. It could be chicken, turkey, beef or pork, like mine. I make the minced meat myself. To do this, I choose meat with a small amount of lard so that the products made from it are juicier. Sour cream can be of any fat content.

Step 2

Step 2
Place the prepared minced meat in a spacious bowl. Peel the onion and rinse in cold water. Then finely chop the onion and add it to the bowl with the minced meat.

Step 3

Step 3
Then crack one egg into the bowl. Add salt and spices to taste. I use dried basil and paprika as spices.

Step 4

Step 4
Mix all ingredients well. Beat the meat mass on the bottom of the bowl. To do this, take the minced meat with your hands and throw it into the bowl. Why beat minced meat? This is necessary so that the meat mass becomes denser. This will prevent the meatballs from falling apart during cooking. If the minced meat is very juicy and moist, then add a little starch to the mixture. This will make the mass more viscous and thick.

Step 5

Step 5
Pour some vegetable oil into a hot frying pan. With wet hands, form meatballs slightly larger than a walnut. Place the meatballs in the pan and fry them on all sides until golden brown. Then add a little hot water, cover the pan with a lid and simmer them for 15 minutes over low heat.

Step 6

Step 6
For the sauce, mix cold water with flour and add sour cream. Flour makes the finished sauce a little thicker and will not allow the sour cream to separate. If you want more sauce, you can add a little more water.

Step 7

Step 7
At the end of cooking, pour sour cream sauce over the meatballs and, stirring, bring to a boil. Salt it a little. If desired, you can add a little garlic for flavor.

Step 8

Step 8
Warm the meatballs in the sauce for a couple of minutes and remove the pan from the heat.

Step 9

Step 9
Meatballs are very tasty when served hot. You can prepare any side dish or salad from fresh vegetables with them. Bon appetit!
