How to bake tuna steaks in the oven in soy sauce? First of all, prepare all the necessary products that are indicated in the list. If you have frozen fish, remove it from the freezer in advance and leave it on the bottom shelf of the refrigerator until completely thawed. Cut the fish carcass into steaks approximately 5 centimeters thick. You can buy ready-made tuna steaks (chilled or frozen). We will need three steaks (weight is approximate).

Rinse the fish and dry thoroughly with kitchen napkins. There should be no excess moisture left on the steaks. Prepare the marinade. To do this, mix soy sauce, vegetable oil, a mixture of ground peppers and dry Italian herbs in a deep, small container. Squeeze the lemon juice. Add a pinch of salt if necessary, but this is usually not necessary since soy sauce is salty. Mix everything.

Using a silicone brush, coat each piece of fish with the marinade, or (if you don’t have a brush) pour the marinade on top of each piece and massage it over the steak with your fingers. Leave the fish to marinate for 10-15 minutes.

Peel the onion, rinse and dry with a kitchen towel. Cut into rings of medium thickness.

If necessary, line the baking dish with baking paper. Place onion rings as the first layer. Place marinated tuna steaks on top.

If desired, add vegetables between the pieces of fish. You can use chopped zucchini, young green asparagus, bell peppers, cherry tomatoes and so on. Salt the vegetables, sprinkle with dry herbs and sprinkle vegetable oil on top.
