Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to make beautiful, delicious sweet synabons from ready-made puff pastry in the oven at home? Very simple. To begin, prepare the necessary ingredients according to the list. For this recipe, we used store-bought yeast-free puff pastry in the form of a roll. If you wish, you can replace the dough with ready-made yeast or puff-yeast dough.

Step 2

Step 2
Melt the butter and cool to room temperature. Combine melted butter, brown sugar and cinnamon. The mixture should be thick but fluid. You can also not melt the butter, but defrost it until soft at room temperature and also combine it with cinnamon and sugar.

Step 3

Step 3
Thaw the dough first and roll it out on a floured surface into a rectangle about 5 mm thick. I used the dough in the form of a roll weighing 500 g. The dough in sheets will also work.

Step 4

Step 4
Brush the dough with a mixture of butter, cinnamon and sugar. Donʼt forget to seal the edges too.

Step 5

Step 5
Roll the dough into a tight log.

Step 6

Step 6
Cut the roll into 8-10 pieces of the thickness you need.

Step 7

Step 7
Place the rolls in the pan with the cut side up, leaving a little space between them so that the dough has room to grow. Bake the buns for 25-30 minutes at 180°C until golden brown.

Step 8

Step 8
While the synabons are baking, prepare the glaze. Cottage cheese needs creamy cheese without additives. You can replace cottage cheese with processed cream cheese.

Step 9

Step 9
In a bowl, combine cream cheese, cream, powdered sugar and vanilla. Beat everything with a mixer until smooth. There is no need to beat for a long time, otherwise the cheese will separate, form grains and the glaze will be spoiled.

Step 10

Step 10
Without removing them from the mold, brush the finished homemade puff pastries with glaze and let it harden.

Step 11

Step 11
After which you can serve the synabons to the table. Bon appetit.
