Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to make fluffy simple fried donuts in a frying pan without yeast using kefir? Prepare all the necessary ingredients. I used kefir with a fat content of 3.2%. Egg category C1. Use refined, odorless oil for frying. Remove the kefir and egg from the refrigerator in advance. Melt the butter and cool to room temperature. Read how to do this correctly at the end of the recipe.

Step 2

Step 2
How to knead dough for donuts without yeast? Pour room temperature kefir into a separate bowl, beat in an egg, add sugar and vanilla sugar, add a pinch of salt to balance the taste. Vanilla sugar can be replaced with vanillin. Read how to do this correctly in a separate article at the link after the recipe.

Step 3

Step 3
Mix everything thoroughly with a whisk until smooth.

Step 4

Step 4
Pour in the melted butter and add baking soda. Read about all the nuances of working with soda in a separate article at the link at the end of the recipe. Mix everything again until smooth.

Step 5

Step 5
Sift the flour through a sieve, this will make the donuts more fluffy and airy. Read more about the properties of flour in the article at the link at the end of the recipe. Add the flour to the liquid ingredients little by little, stirring thoroughly each time. Depending on the quality of flour, you may need a little more or a little less. Focus on the consistency of the dough.

Step 6

Step 6
The dough should be soft, not sticky and hold its ball shape well.

Step 7

Step 7
Roll out the dough into a layer approximately 1 cm thick.

Step 8

Step 8
Using a glass, cut out circles from the dough. In the center of each blank, use a round object of small diameter (I have a bottle cap) to cut out the middle.

Step 9

Step 9
I used a glass with a diameter of 7 cm. I got 17 blanks.

Step 10

Step 10
Heat vegetable oil in a deep frying pan or saucepan with a thick bottom. I have a cast iron frying pan with a diameter of 26 cm. The exact amount of oil depends on the volume of the selected dishes. The donuts should be about halfway in the oil. You can check whether the oil is hot enough by lowering a wooden spatula into it. If bubbles have gathered around it, then you can begin the frying process. Place donuts carefully in hot oil

Step 11

Step 11
Fry the donuts over medium heat for about 1.5-2 minutes until golden brown. Then carefully turn the donuts over and fry them on the other side for another 1-1.5 minutes. The exact time will depend on the operation of your stove and the size of the donuts.

Step 12

Step 12
Place the finished donuts on a plate lined with a paper towel to absorb excess oil. Cool the finished donuts a little and sprinkle with powdered sugar. You can decorate the donuts with glaze. I used store-bought icing, but you can make your own. You will find the recipes after the last step.

Step 13

Step 13
Serve homemade donuts without yeast to the table. Bon appetit!
