Basic:

Sugar 100 g
Butter 70 g
Oranges (juice and zest) 1 pc
Egg yolks 4 pc

How to make orange curd? Measure out all the ingredients you need. Wash the orange well and wipe it. To make the zest more fragrant, you can pour boiling water over it. Squeeze the juice out of the orange and grate the zest on a fine grater.

In a saucepan, combine raw egg yolks, sugar, orange zest and orange juice.

Over low heat with constant stirring, bring the resulting mixture to thicken and immediately remove from heat.

Let the cream cool slightly and add the diced butter. Stir until smooth.

Cover the curd with cling film without gaps and cool completely at room temperature. Store the cooled curd in a closed jar in the refrigerator and use as intended.
