How to make Maple Pecan Puffs? Prepare the necessary ingredients. You can make your own homemade puff pastry. You will find the recipes after the last step. Remove the dough from the freezer in advance to defrost. Pecans can be replaced with cheaper walnuts. This, of course, will be a little different, but still delicious.

First, prepare the filling. Finely chop the nuts. You can take either more or a little less nuts. Turn the oven on 180 degrees.

Place the chopped nuts in a bowl, pour in the maple syrup and stir.

Roll out the dough on a floured surface and cut into 12x12cm squares.

Make several slanting cuts along the edges of each square.

To ensure a golden brown crust, at the end of baking, I brushed the puff pastries with maple syrup again, when the dough had already risen and strengthened.
