Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to bake chocolate cupcake with cherries in the oven? Prepare all the necessary ingredients. Remove the butter from the refrigerator in advance; it should be soft. You can take cherries either fresh or frozen.

Step 2

Step 2
Wash the cherries, dry them, remove the pits. Drain off the juice that is released. If you use frozen cherries, you need to defrost them and also drain the juice.

Step 3

Step 3
Break the chocolate into pieces, place in a saucepan and melt over low heat, stirring with a silicone spatula.

Step 4

Step 4
Beat soft butter with sugar and vanilla sugar in a mixer. Read how to replace vanilla sugar in a separate article at the end of the recipe.

Step 5

Step 5
Add eggs to the oil and beat everything again.

Step 6

Step 6
Add melted chocolate.

Step 7

Step 7
Mix everything. You should get a fairly fluffy oily mass.

Step 8

Step 8
Sift the flour with baking powder and add to the dough. Beat the mixture until smooth. I added all the flour at once, but I can estimate the ratio of flour to the rest of the mixture in advance to predict what kind of dough I will have. If you are new to cooking, it is better to add flour in parts. Since you may need less or more flour, check the consistency. Read about flour and baking powder in the articles at the end of the recipe.

Step 9

Step 9
Place cherries in the dough and mix thoroughly. You don’t have to mix the cherries into the dough, so as not to crush the berries once again, but fill the mold with the dough alternately with the cherries.

Step 10

Step 10
Place the batter into a greased cake pan and smooth out. Bake the cake in an oven preheated to 180ºC for about 40 minutes. The times are approximate, be guided by the operating characteristics of your oven. Read more about how ovens work below the steps.

Step 11

Step 11
Cool the finished cake slightly, remove from the pan and sprinkle with a mixture of powdered sugar and cocoa (or just powdered sugar). Bon appetit!
