Homemade Milk Donuts: Fluffy, Filling, and Delicious

Delicious homemade crumpets — fluffy and filling! Donuts with milk cannot be classified as low-calorie and light dishes. Therefore, plan this dish for breakfast or lunch, or for dinner, if your goal is to gain a little weight. Essentially, these donuts are pieces of yeast dough fried in vegetable oil. There should be quite a lot of oil, since the crumpets absorb it very well when frying. Milk crumpets are delicious when freshly prepared hot, so it is advisable to cook them in such a way that they are not left over for tomorrow.

Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
To prepare delicious donuts with milk you will need good natural milk, wheat flour, granulated sugar, a little fine salt, good quality dry yeast and vegetable oil for frying.

Step 2

Step 2
Heat the milk to 37-39 degrees. Combine sugar in a large spacious bowl with dry yeast and pour warm milk over the resulting mixture. Stir, cover and leave in a warm place for 15 minutes. If the yeast is of high quality, then after some time the reaction of the yeast and warm sweet milk will be noticeable: foam and small bubbles will appear. If there is no obvious reaction, then it is better to use other yeast.

Step 3

Step 3
Then add 200 g of sifted wheat flour, mix and leave for another 30 minutes in a warm place.

Step 4

Step 4
Add the remaining 100 g of sifted flour, add fine salt, mix and leave for another 2-3 hours. The dough will increase significantly in volume. It should be kneaded with hands lubricated with vegetable oil. From the resulting dough it is necessary to form crumpets of the desired size, lightly dusting them with flour or greasing them with oil, because... The dough may slightly stick to your hands.

Step 5

Step 5
Heat the vegetable oil in a frying pan, add the crumpets and fry them over medium heat on both sides until golden brown. Larger donuts will additionally need to be kept covered over low heat so that they are not raw inside.

Step 6

Step 6
Serve the milk donuts hot with fresh sour cream, jam or condensed milk.
