Airy Kefir Bread Made in a Bread Machine

Delicious bread with a delicate crumb and an appetizing crust. This airy bread is good on its own. And if you spread butter on it and apply a layer of jam or jam... then you may not have enough of one loaf. And Iʼll have to bake another one.

Ingredients (6 portions)

Basic:

Salt 1.5 tsp
Sugar 1 tbsp
Wheat flour 550 g
Butter 20 g
Vegetable oil 1.5 tbsp
Chicken eggs 1 pc
Kefir 300 g
Dry yeast 1.5 tsp

Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
First, letʼs prepare all the necessary ingredients. Kefir should be at room temperature. If you just took it out of the refrigerator, warm it up a little in the microwave. I usually heat kefir in the “Defrost” mode. So it definitely wonʼt curl up

Step 2

Step 2
Pour the heated kefir into the bucket of the bread machine. Add an egg.

Step 3

Step 3
Then you need to add vegetable oil and melted butter.

Step 4

Step 4
Then salt and sugar are sent into the bread machine bucket.

Step 5

Step 5
Add sifted flour.

Step 6

Step 6
Make a small well and pour yeast on top. Then select the required mode. On my Redmond bread machine, I set the “White bread” mode, weight 1000 g, crust – dark.

Step 7

Step 7
About 10 minutes after I start kneading the dough, I usually look into the bread machine to see how the process is going. Sometimes it happens that flour remains on the walls or the dough sticks to them. Using a silicone spatula, I give the bread maker a little help. Also pay attention to the consistency of the dough. If it turns out to be very dense, then you can add a little warm kefir, and if, on the contrary, it is viscous, then flour.

Step 8

Step 8
After 3 hours 40 minutes, a signal sounded that the bread was ready. We take it out of the bucket. Allow time for the bread to cool. I donʼt recommend cutting it hot.
