Wheat flour 200 g
Butter 175 g
Sugar 170 g
Poppy food 100 g
Eggs 4 pc
Baking powder 1 tsp
Vanilla sugar 1 tsp

Glaze:

Powdered sugar 150 g
Liquor 1 tbsp
Water 1 tbsp

How to make poppy seed cake in the oven? Prepare all the necessary ingredients for the dough. Remove the butter from the refrigerator in advance; it should be soft. Grind the poppy seed in parts in a coffee grinder. It should remain dry and crumbly.

Place soft butter in a deep bowl, add sugar and beat with a mixer until light.

Beat in 3 eggs one at a time, beating well each time. Wash the eggs with soap first to remove all dirt from them.
