Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to bake pear strudel from puff pastry? Prepare the necessary ingredients. You can use puff-yeast dough, like mine, or pure puff pastry or homemade stretch dough. I have frozen, ready-to-purchase dough. The dough must first be defrosted on the bottom shelf of the refrigerator. You can make your own homemade dough. You will find the recipes after the last step. Take the highest grade flour. Turn on the oven to 180 degrees in advance.

Step 2

Step 2
Wash the pears, remove the core and cut into small cubes.

Step 3

Step 3
Melt the butter in a frying pan over medium heat. Add chopped pears, sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg.

Step 4

Step 4
Fry, stirring, for 7-8 minutes. At the same time, make sure that the pears do not turn into puree. The fruit should retain its shape.

Step 5

Step 5
Place the dough on baking parchment, dust with flour and roll out to a thickness of 2 mm. It is advisable to roll out in one direction. It is better to immediately roll it out on the parchment paper on which you will bake. Because when transferring the formed roll onto a baking sheet, the dough may tear in several places. Transfer immediately onto parchment. A separate article will help you choose parchment paper; the link is at the end of the recipe.

Step 6

Step 6
Spread the pear filling evenly over the dough, leaving one end free.

Step 7

Step 7
Roll the dough into a tight log. The seam should be at the bottom. Pinch the side edges so that the filling does not leak out.

Step 8

Step 8
Transfer the workpiece along with the parchment onto a baking sheet, and use a sharp knife to make several shallow cuts on the surface. Brush the pastry with beaten egg. Bake the strudel in an oven preheated to 180°C for 20-30 minutes. The exact time depends on your oven. You can learn about the operating features of ovens by reading a separate article, link at the end of the recipe. The dough should be well baked not only on the outside, but also on the inside, where there is a lot of wet filling.

Step 9

Step 9
Cool the finished pear strudel, sprinkle with powdered sugar, cut into pieces and serve, garnished with mint. Bon appetit!
