How to make the simplest apple pie in the oven? Prepare your food. Remove the necessary ingredients from the refrigerator in advance — the dough will rise better with warm ingredients. Take high-quality butter, without milk fat substitutes; the taste of the finished pie will depend on its taste. The number of apples may vary depending on their size and the diameter of the mold.

First of all, melt the butter using any available method. Read more about the methods at the end of the recipe. Cool the melted butter.

Beat the egg into a bowl and start beating it with a mixer, first at low speed, then increase the speed. While beating, add sugar, vanillin and salt in portions. Donʼt be afraid of salt in sweet baked goods — it will act as a flavor enhancer. Instead of vanillin, vanilla sugar is suitable.

Beat the egg until fluffy and light. Then pour milk and about 2/3 of the butter into the egg mixture (the rest will go on top of the pie). Mix the mixture again with a mixer.

Add baking powder to flour, mix. Sift flour into liquid ingredients. Due to this, the flour will be saturated with oxygen, which will make the cake fluffier. Add flour gradually, in small portions, focusing on the desired consistency of the dough. Keep in mind that you may need a little more or less flour.

Mix the flour with a regular whisk. You should get a homogeneous dough without lumps, with the consistency of liquid sour cream.

Cut the apples into quarters, cut out the middle with the seeds. Cut the quarters into thin slices. If you wish, you can cut off the skin, I left it.

Take a suitable baking pan, I have a springform pan with a diameter of 20cm. Line the bottom and sides of the pan with baking paper to prevent the cake from sticking. Pour the dough into the mold. Place apple slices on top. The more you put in, the juicier the pie will be.

Sprinkle sugar on top of the pie and pour the remaining butter over it.

Bake the pie in the oven, preheated to 180°C, top-bottom mode, without convection, from 30 to 45 minutes. The exact time will depend on the features of your oven. Check readiness with a wooden skewer — it should come out dry from the middle.
