Ingredients (8 portions)

Basic:

Sugar 1 cup
Cocoa 3 tbsp
Vegetable oil (plus a little for greasing the mold) 2 tbsp
Baking powder (It is not advisable to replace soda) 2 tsp
Powdered sugar (or apricot jam) 3 tbsp
Chicken eggs 2 pc
Semolina 2 cup
Vanilla sugar 2 pack
Kefir 500 ml

Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to make chocolate manna with kefir? Prepare the necessary products. Sift the cocoa first. Kefir and eggs should be at room temperature, so remove them from the refrigerator in advance. Take odorless, refined vegetable oil so that it is not noticeable in the finished product. It is not recommended to replace baking powder in this recipe with soda. Instead of sugar, you can use powdered sugar.

Step 2

Step 2
To begin, pour all the dry products into a separate deep container: semolina, cocoa, sugar or powdered sugar, vanilla sugar, baking powder. Mix thoroughly.

Step 3

Step 3
Pour the dry mixture into a bowl with kefir, stir so that there are no lumps. The result is a thick, pasty mass. Leave it for 20 minutes, maybe 30, so that the semolina swells well.

Step 4

Step 4
In a separate bowl, beat the eggs well with a fork.

Step 5

Step 5
Pour them into the bowl with the dough. Stir thoroughly again.

Step 6

Step 6
Add vegetable oil to the dough, mix. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees. Meanwhile, grease the inside of the baking dish with vegetable oil: both the bottom and the walls. This is a must, otherwise the manna may stick to the mold and be difficult to remove from it.

Step 7

Step 7
Place the dough into the mold and place in the oven. Bake for 10 minutes at 200 degrees. Then reduce the heat to 180 degrees and bake until done for 35-40 minutes (baking time depends on the features of the oven and the size of the mold). The almost finished manna begins to separate from the mold at the edges in the oven. The main thing is to bake the middle of the pie until completely cooked. Check doneness with a wooden skewer.

Step 8

Step 8
Cool the finished manna. While still warm, sprinkle with powdered sugar or spread with jam. You can do this directly in the mold, if it is not detachable. Cut the manna into portions and remove from the mold. Serve to the table.

Step 9

Step 9
The cake turns out very tasty, with a pleasant chocolate aroma. Those who ate it didn’t even realize that it was semolina. Bon appetit!
