Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to bake meat pies from puff pastry in the oven? Prepare everything you need. You can make puff pastry without yeast yourself or smoke ready-made dough. Remove store-bought dough from the freezer in advance and let it defrost at room temperature. You can use any minced meat. I have minced pork. Below the steps you will find puff pastry recipes for making your own.

Step 2

Step 2
Peel the onion, rinse in cool water and finely chop. Add chopped onion to the minced meat. Divide the egg into white and yolk. Add the white to the minced meat, and leave the yolk for greasing the pies.

Step 3

Step 3
Add a little salt and spices to the minced meat. Mix the whole mass well.

Step 4

Step 4
Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface and cut into rectangles. Make small cuts on one half of each rectangle.

Step 5

Step 5
Place a small amount of minced meat on the second half and cover with the half with the cuts. Pinch the edges.

Step 6

Step 6
Place the puff pastries on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Brush the top of each pie with yolk. This is necessary so that they brown. Place the baking sheet in the oven, preheated to 180 degrees, for 30-35 minutes. Times are approximate, check your oven. Read more about ovens in the article below the steps.

The finished pies will become a beautiful golden color. Remove them from the oven and cool slightly. Meat pies made from ready-made puff pastry are delicious both hot and cold. Serve them with sweet tea. Bon appetit!
