Easy Oven-Baked Liver and Veggie Pie

An easy recipe for the lazy — liver pie with vegetables! From completely simple ingredients you get an incredibly tasty and satisfying dish in a royal way. Here you don’t need to fry the liver pancakes separately in a frying pan — the pie is simply baked entirely in the oven.

Ingredients (6 portions)

For liver mass:

Chicken liver 700 g
Semolina 100 g
Milk 100 ml
Ground black pepper 0.5 tsp
Salt 1 tsp

For vegetable mass:

Ground black pepper to taste
Salt to taste
Bulb onions 500 g
Carrot 500 g
Vegetable oil 2 tbsp

For the form:

Vegetable oil 2 tbsp

For filling:

Sour cream 500 g
Chicken eggs 1 pc

For decoration:

Greenery to taste

Recipe instructions

LIVER MASS: Pass the liver through a meat grinder or chop with a blender. Add milk.

Add semolina.

Stir and leave for half an hour for the semolina to swell.

VEGETABLE MASS: Peel the onion and cut into half rings. Place in a frying pan with oil and fry over low heat, stirring.

Peel and grate the carrots on a coarse grater. Add to onion. Simmer the vegetables over low heat until tender, stirring.

At the end of cooking, add salt, pepper, and cool.

PIE: Salt and pepper the liver mass, mix with a whisk. Grease a 26 cm diameter mold with butter. Place half of the liver.

Place the vegetables and press lightly with a spatula.

Place the other half of the liver and bake in the oven for 20 minutes at 180 degrees.

FILLING: Combine sour cream and egg, beat with a whisk.

Pour over the liver and bake in the oven for another 30 minutes at 180 degrees.

Bake until nicely browned. Let cool slightly and serve. It is especially delicious when served cold. You can decorate with greenery or as you wish.
