Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to make French meat in the oven without mayonnaise? Prepare the necessary ingredients for this. The meat can be anything. Iʼll cook pork. Choose boneless meat. Peel the potatoes in advance and rinse them to remove dirt. Instead of yogurt, you can use sour cream. I have cherry tomatoes, you can use regular large ones.

Step 2

Step 2
Cut the meat into portions and beat a little with a kitchen hammer. For pork meat, ham or carb is a good choice.

Step 3

Step 3
Peel the onion, rinse in cold water and finely chop. Press it with your hands so that it releases the juice faster.

Step 4

Step 4
Place the chopped onion in a bowl and add yogurt and mustard to it. Sprinkle with salt and spices. Pass a couple of cloves of garlic through a press. For spices I use ground pepper and dried basil.

Step 5

Step 5
Mix the meat with the resulting onion sauce and leave to marinate for 30 minutes.

Step 6

Step 6
Then cut the potatoes into slices and mix with the meat.

Step 7

Step 7
For baking, you can take any heat-resistant form — glass, ceramics, silicone, metal. Read about how to choose a baking dish in a separate article at the link at the end of the recipe. Grease the bottom and sides of the mold with vegetable oil. Spread the potatoes in the sauce along the bottom of the pan. Place the meat and remaining sauce and onions on top.

Step 8

Step 8
Then place the chopped tomatoes on the meat.

Step 9

Step 9
Sprinkle the top generously with grated cheese. Place the pan in the oven, preheated to 180 degrees for 45-50 minutes. Be guided by your oven. You can learn about the operating features of ovens by reading a separate article, link at the end of the recipe. To prevent the cheese from starting to fry, you can lightly cover the pan with foil.

Step 10

Step 10
The meat is ready! Remove the pan from the oven and place on plates. Bon appetit!
