Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to make potato nests with chicken? Prepare the necessary products. I have chicken breast fillet. You can take fillet from the thigh or drumstick, then the filling will be juicier.

Step 2

Step 2
Cut the pre-peeled potatoes into small pieces. Boil the potatoes in salted water until tender. To check if the potatoes are cooked, pierce a piece of the vegetable with a knife. If it is soft, then the potatoes are ready.

Step 3

Step 3
Drain all the water from the potatoes and use a potato masher to mash them until there are no lumps. Cool the mashed potatoes.

Step 4

Step 4
Cut the pre-peeled onions into small cubes.

Step 5

Step 5
Wash the chicken fillet and dry well. Cut the fillet into small cubes.

Step 6

Step 6
Add vegetable oil to the pan. Fry the prepared onions over moderate heat, stirring occasionally, until soft.

Step 7

Step 7
Place the fillet pieces in the frying pan with the onions and stir.

Step 8

Step 8
Over medium-high heat, fry the chicken fillet until golden brown. This will keep the meat juicy. While cooking the fillet, add salt and ground black pepper (or any spices to taste). Stir to ensure the pieces fry evenly.

Step 9

Step 9
Wash the parsley, dry it, chop it finely. Instead of parsley, you can use dill or omit the herbs altogether.

Step 10

Step 10
Combine chicken fillet with herbs and stir.

Step 11

Step 11
Beat the egg into the cooled mashed potatoes. To make the potato mixture more stable, add flour. Mix everything well until smooth.

Step 12

Step 12
It is convenient to form “nests” using a pastry syringe or a bag with a nozzle. Or you can cut off the corner of a thick bag and squeeze the potato mixture through it. Place potato nests in the form of round baskets on a baking sheet lined with parchment. Pre-grease the parchment with vegetable oil.

Step 13

Step 13
Fill potato nests with chicken fillet filling.

Step 14

Step 14
Grind the cheese on a coarse grater.

Step 15

Step 15
Sprinkle cheese on top of potato nests.

Step 16

Step 16
Bake the formed baskets in an oven preheated to 190C for 20-25 minutes. The potato mixture should thicken and the cheese should melt.

Step 17

Step 17
Serve potato nests with chicken hot. Bon appetit!
