Quick Georgian Chicken Stew with Potatoes

How to make chakhokhbili from chicken with potatoes? Prepare the necessary ingredients for this. For cooking, you can take any part of the chicken or chop the whole carcass into pieces. I will cook with chicken thighs. Peel the potatoes in advance and rinse them in running water to remove dirt.

Cut the potatoes into large pieces, cover with water and cook separately. Boil the potatoes for 15-20 minutes. Then drain the hot water.

Peel the onion, rinse in cold water and cut into half rings.

Chop the chicken into pieces. Pour vegetable oil into a hot frying pan and fry the chicken for 5-7 minutes until golden brown.

Add chopped tomatoes and selected spices to the chicken pan. The main taste of the finished dish will depend on the composition of the spice. Mix everything. Add salt.

In the resulting sauce, simmer the chicken under the lid over low heat for 15-20 minutes. You can add a little hot water to increase the sauce.

At the end of cooking, add boiled potatoes to the pan with the chicken. Heat everything together for another 3-5 minutes and remove the pan from the heat. Add chopped fresh herbs. Serve the finished dish hot. Bon appetit!
